Baby fever 104* and Pay it Forward winner!!!

During my grandmothers funeral, I had one son who was extremely tired, and one baby who was defiantly not my baby, he was just a fussin' till the cows came home, only to find out they will never come home. I wish someone had a camera, everyone, I mean everyone forgot to bring their children along for the ride that day, I felt like I was the only person there and nobody could hear me. Let me explain-

I was sitting down feeding baby, so I couldn't take care of Elaiasi, he was running the runway, my sista kept giving me the stare, then all the sudden we heard the piano playing, yep my son. I hurried and put myself back in, ran and picked him up, baby in one hand son in the other, I rocked both of them, son laying down on one side of arm, with leg in my other hand, baby in the other hand that had the foot, and baby laying over my shoulder. My muscles were shaking, I about didn't know what to do, I was in the back, no one turned and looked. I seriously was going to start throwing mints or something to get SOMEBODIES attention. Finally someone came to the rescue, and then I could finish feeding baby so he would stop fussing.

He did not want to eat, so he fell asleep, when he woke up he had a fever, he looked like death was laying on his shoulder.

We left Somewhere about 5pm, went straight to Someplace for my husbands reunion. Left for home about 1 in the morning.

Woke up about 6am, got ready for the reunion, baby still fussy, still sick. Got home about 1 in the morning.

Sunday debated to take him to the hospital or not, his fever by then was 104* and not falling at all, not even with Motrin and Tylenol together. Just gave lots of baths, and went to reunion until 1 in the morning.

I am defiantly not going to get mother of the year again this year. I took him in first thing Monday morning, doc looked in his mouth, and said holy cow, why didn't you bring him in sooner? I just wanted to hide my head, I simply said, sorry we were in charge of a reunion, he just glared at me.

He defiantly was red, swollen, white crap all up and down his throat. Sure enough had strep throat. I don't know about all of you, but my heart breaks when little babies are sick, they are so helpless, so needy, so Innocent, it should be a rule, if you can't tell mommy where or why you are sick, you shouldn't have to be sick....
So, today is my birthday, wont be celebrating it today, wont be going to a blogabration, won't be getting a IPhone. I will be taking care of a very sick baby, and that is all that matters today...

The worst part about all of this, this is first but definitely NOT the last, not with a family of nine, who can't keep their hands and mouth off this adorable baby. And yes, you can tell me I am horrible, I already know so it won't hurt my feelers...

There are so many people I would like to thank. First of all, God, because without him, all this wouldn't be possible. Second, Mindi, she is the networking mother ship of the blogging world. And third, Devri, for having a giveaway. This is my first win! I was shocked to read my name:)

Hope your baby feels better soon!

Geez chick it is like your life is a TV show. I think you should write to a network and tell them your story! =) Hope the baby is feeling better. I fell the same way when Jayden is sick. They can't talk so you really have no idea how they really feel. Happy B-day too!! =)

Happy, Happy Birthday! So sorry you have to spend it with a sick baby. Hopefully those meds will have him feeling more chipper soon! And don't you just wish that people would help you out when you're having a hard time instead of judging you and passing dirty looks? I've been there! My husband has been on the High Council and has served in the Bishopric and it's hard to do it all and be SuperMom when keeping young children quiet is part of the plan! Don't get down on yourself! I am convinced that there is a quiet place in Heaven for the mothers of lots of children--and you have earned it!

Hey Devri,

I've missed you while I was on vacation.

You are the most loyal commenter ever...thank you.

Hope the baby is better.

It stinks to be in charge of the reunion...just had to do that one too.

I am sure you are ready to lay around all day with a sick baby as the BEST excuse.

Hope all are well very soon.

Oh my gosh! First of all -- I think you are a GREAT mom! From one mutha of 7 to another...I wish I had been in that chapel to help you with those babies! Man alive, talk about having to be octopus mom taking care of the kiddos! I got agitated just reading about it! Anyway, baby's throat looked like mine a few weeks ago ... I can definitely sympathize with him! Hope he is feeling better.

Happy Birthday! I'm not just going to tell you HB, but I'm going to show it! You deserve a HAPPY birthday after that weekend. Look for a little something in the mail in the next week or so.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! So sorry your little man is sick . I agree, if you can not explain or ask for help than you should not have to suffer. I hope things calm down soon!!
