I Interrupt this scheduled Monday Memory - to VENT

OK, I have had a strange Sunday.

First we went to my nephews fairwell, and guess what they said..

He is not going to the MTC this week. He spoke anyway cuz there were so many people there that there was no room, not even in culture hall.

He is still going, just had to have surgery on his knee(very unexpectidly) He did great, and he will will be ready to go out by Dec hopefully.

2nd-

Our bishop got up this day and talked about people contridicting the church and what is the best way to talk to someone about this church is to bear your testimony.

Guess what happened tonight?

YOu might know that I am a contributer of Modern Molly Mormon Blog, But what you don't know is that I did a post this morning and a Phd commented in my post.

Now you might think that is all fine and dandy, but it wasn't. He told me that I should study about tithing, and basicly telling me that tithing isn't Christine Doctorine.

OK now the gloves come off...

You need to go to my Financial Well-Being Post, and then read the comment, you will die.

I did.

So what did I do, I posted my Testimony for him... Kapow!!!!!!!! right!!!

Wierd day that Bishop would get up and say that, then for me to use his example already.....

Misterious? No, a blessing YES..

So I want to post my Testimony here again, I have said it here in Tongan and I will post it again, but I want to share it with you in English as well.

I want to share my testimony,

I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is TRUE!!

I know that with out a shadow of a doubt that the Book of Mormon is True.

I know that Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith in the Sacred Grove.

I know that families can be together for Eternity, if you follow the plan of Salvation, and hold fast to the storms of life.

I know that our dear living prophet President Thomas S. Monson is the true living prophet today.

I know that the Church is in its fullness. Jesus Christ will come again to this earth for the Second Coming. I am thankful to be living in a time when the Lord has prophets, seers, and revelators again on earth.

I know that prayer is a door to our Heavenly Father, knock and he will answer.

I know that Missionary work is true without a shadow of a doubt. My husband would not be hear with me if that wasn't true.

I know that Tithing is a choice, a miracle, and a blessing from God. If you pray and truly ask of him, he Will tell you that his church is true, and that Tithing is not a burden, it is a privilege.

I know that if I hold to the rod, I will too return to my father in Heaven, and I will strive to take all my family and friends with me.

In the name of Jesus Christ

Amen.

Listen to it in Tongan too.( but you have to pause the music to hear it).

Rock on sistah! I saw that comment and thought to myself, "Should I just delete? Nah, I think my girl can handle herself in this one." LOL! And rock on you did!

Dev!! Holy cow... I would've been really upset at that kind of comment. He delves so deeply into a scripture that you didn't even mention (that i saw). You weren't making a scriptural argument or interpretation! You were sharing your ideas on how to become debt free. That was weird of him. Sounds like someone looking for an argument. Some people don't need to argue a point to believe in it...

Isn't it great that we all have religious freedom? Other wise we might have to think like that guy! Thank you for your simple sweet testimony. I hope he wanders over here to read it. Can't deny the spirit there - or anywhere you're concerned!

Good for you!! Don't let him bring you down. There will always be an argument for why we shouldn't do something. The true blessings come when we do it anyway. People who feel the need to put their title or degree with their name are people who have little self confidence.

AT first when I read his comment I was like What the? then I had a peace come over me..What you said was simple and the truth.Of course those that don't belive like us will have plenty to say..But all he did was make all of us stronger and more united.
I was proud of your post and I commented as well by leaving a simple testimony on tithing.
